Kaylee and Jackson’s wedding at Hamilton’s Pond in McDavid, Florida with Disney nods, southern grace, and genuine joy.

There are weddings that follow a script, and then there are weddings that could only ever belong to two specific people.
What’s more, kaylee and Jackson’s celebration at Hamilton’s Pond in McDavid, Florida was unmistakably the latter — a Southern gathering woven through with deep faith, family roots, and a love story that began with a proposal hidden inside the happiest place on earth.
Jackson chose Walt Disney World as the backdrop for his proposal — and if you know Kaylee, you understand exactly why. The moment was wrapped in magic, tucked among hidden Mickeys that turned an ordinary park visit into a memory they’ll carry forever.
In addition, it set the tone for everything that followed: a wedding day full of meaning layered beneath the surface, waiting to be noticed by those paying attention.

Nestled in the Panhandle’s quiet countryside, Hamilton’s Pond is the kind of venue that makes you exhale the moment you arrive. On May 31, 2025, the property was dressed in the soft green of late spring, the ceremony site centered around a weathered wooden cross that rose above a still, reflective pond.
Moreover, it’s a setting built for reverence — and that’s exactly what the day delivered.

As the processional began, the opening notes of “Goodness of God” moved through the crowd and something shifted. Guests who came simply to celebrate found themselves moved by something larger — a recognition that this moment mattered.
Furthermore, the groomsmen processed alongside, a few carrying firearms in the tradition of this part of Florida, a quiet nod to the culture and community that shaped them both. Kaylee walked toward Jackson with the kind of certainty that photographs itself.

The hidden Mickey motif made its way from the proposal to the venue itself — small, personal touches placed throughout the day that rewarded guests who looked closely. It’s the kind of intentional detail that transforms a wedding from a beautiful event into a personal narrative.
As a result, after the ceremony, instead of the traditional bouquet toss, Kaylee walked directly to her mother and placed the flowers in her hands. The room went still.

Full of Grace Catering brought the food, DJ David Jones brought the energy, and at some point during the evening, the dance floor gave way to a karaoke session that had everyone — family, friends, and a few people who definitely cannot sing — in stitches.
Additionally, it was joyful and unscripted and completely right for who Kaylee and Jackson are. A Southern wedding, done with heart.

We slipped away from the reception as the light turned gold over the water, and the portraits we made there are among my favorites from the entire year. The pond at Hamilton’s Pond has this quality at dusk — everything goes still, and the light pools on the surface in a way that feels almost deliberate.
In fact, kaylee and Jackson stood in the middle of it, completely at ease, completely themselves.
Congratulations, Kaylee and Jackson. Your day was full of grace in every sense of the word.
