Erika & Patrick’s Moody Woodland Wedding at Green Cabin Ranch

Astatula, Florida | December 20, 2025

As a wedding photographer and videographer serving Pensacola, Destin, and destinations throughout Florida, we get to witness a lot of love stories—but some weddings stand out for their depth, intention, and emotional honesty.

Erika and Patrick’s wedding at Green Cabin Ranch was one of those days. Moody, romantic, candlelit, and deeply personal from start to finish.

Bridal Prep & Getting Ready at Green Cabin Ranch

The morning began onsite at Green Cabin Ranch, where both Erika and Patrick got ready surrounded by their closest people. The energy was calm but full of anticipation—no rushing, no chaos, just meaningful moments unfolding naturally.

Erika spent the morning with her bridesmaids and family, taking in the quiet before the day truly began. With her dress, details, and personal items prepared ahead of time, we were able to document the textures and emotions that make the getting-ready portion of the day so special.

Patrick and his groomsmen prepared nearby, sharing laughs and grounding themselves before the ceremony. These early moments set the tone for the entire day—intentional, relaxed, and rooted in connection.

First Look on the Property

Erika and Patrick chose to do a first look onsite, giving them a private moment together before the ceremony. This allowed them to slow down, exchange gifts, and truly be present with one another before stepping into the rest of the day.

First looks are always powerful, but this one felt especially meaningful—quiet, emotional, and full of genuine connection.

A Candlelit Ceremony in the Woods

The ceremony began at 4:30 PM, surrounded by 120 guests and the natural beauty of Green Cabin Ranch. With LED candles paired with real flame candles, the ceremony space felt warm, moody, and intimate—exactly matching Erika and Patrick’s vision.

Patrick walked the aisle alone, while Erika was escorted by her brother Casey Smith and cousin Jordan Flora. The ceremony itself was beautifully simple, centered around a ring exchange and heartfelt vows.

Sometimes the most powerful ceremonies are the ones that don’t overcomplicate things—and this was one of them.

Cocktail Hour & Family Connections

Cocktail hour followed from 5–6 PM, taking place outside the pavilion on the stone pavers. This time allowed guests to mingle while Erika and Patrick made a point to connect with everyone—either by visiting tables or welcoming guests to them.

Family and relationships were clearly a priority throughout the day, and that intention showed in every interaction.

Reception & Live Music Celebration

Dinner and reception took place from 6–10 PM, with live music provided by Actual Bank Robbers from the Tampa Bay area. The band brought incredible energy, setting the tone for a celebration that felt joyful without ever losing its emotional depth.

Highlights included:

  • The couple’s first dance

  • A touching mother-son dance

  • Cake cutting

  • And a few surprise moments still unfolding as the night progressed

The evening flowed naturally, giving space for both celebration and reflection.

Why This Wedding Was So Special

Erika and Patrick’s wedding wasn’t about trends or spectacle—it was about trust, open hearts, emotional intelligence, and kindness. Every choice reflected who they are as a couple, and that authenticity made the day unforgettable.

From the moody candlelight to the woodland setting, every detail felt intentional and personal.
