Planning Timeline for a Coastal Wedding

The Gulf Coast wedding season peaks in spring (April–June) and fall (September–November), when temperatures are comfortable and humidity is manageable. Summer weddings are absolutely possible but require planning around midday heat — most couples opt for a 5 or 6pm ceremony to catch the golden hour light.

In fact, book your venue 12–18 months in advance, particularly for peak season dates. Permitting for beach ceremonies, especially on public access points and national seashore properties, can take several months and should be initiated early. Wind is a consistent factor at coastal ceremonies; your florist and officiant will both thank you for planning with that in mind.
